Villanova University-Roman Catholic Augustinian School
Villanova University is a Roman Catholic, Augustinian school. The school was founded in 1842 by Augustinian monks. The school is, however, open to students of all religious affiliations and backgrounds. The University is broken up into four main schools, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the School of Business, the Engineering College and the Nursing College.
The University has long been heralded one of the top institutions for higher education in the country and continues to receive awards and mentions each year. There are less than two hundred and seventy colleges and universities that are proud to have a chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, Villanova is among the ranks.
